Next trip to Morocco: visit Essaouira

Are you looking for a destination for your next vacation? We propose something special to you: Visit Essaouira in your next trip to Morocco.

Essaouira is an ideal destination to spend a few days on vacation. Beach, history, architecture, surfing, horseback riding, music… they are words which describe it perfectly.

Essaouira is located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. It is a port city flanked by walls and canyons dating from the Portuguese Empire, and its medina is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2001.

Currently, it is immersed in a tourism development project that will be carried out in the next 3-4 years.

It is a city with all the tradition of Morocco, but it is experiencing a great opening towards tourism. Its inhabitants live mainly from fishing and tourism, but they are also music lovers, and we can find stores like Bob Music, a lovely small shop, located in the medina, carried by Hamid, a very kind and friendly man, who will show us every kind of musical instruments. Upon entering the store we discover all kinds of native instruments, as well as photographs of the greats of pop and reggae music.

Another activity we can do is surfing. The trade winds that permanently whip the Atlantic Coast, make Essaouria one of the favorite destinations for lovers of surfing and water activities.

But Essaouira is also charming at sunset. Watching the sun fall from one of the terraces of its hotels or from the walls, is a show you cannot miss. After this show, you can enjoy dinner with live music in one of our secret restaurants, with the best atmosphere and the best cuisine in the area.

Essaouira is, without a doubt, one of our favorite cities, which you shouldn’t miss on your next trip to Morocco.

  1. Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using?
(and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress
like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite
    a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd”
on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself
    during the coronavirus scare!

Hello! It depends on the template you choose. I recommend that you do not modify them much because sometimes when loading a plugin or something, everything is unconfigured.

  2. When I originally commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added
I get three emails with the same comment. Is there
any way you can remove me from that service?

    Thank you!
